Hello, I'm The Mother Hen Friend!

I'm Meagan

My journey into birth work began with the birth of my first child. It was a life-changing, beautiful experience that taught me so much about the options and pathways to birth I hadn’t known before. With the incredible care of a midwife, I had a water birth that left me inspired to share this joy and empowerment with other families.

It took years of dreaming and putting it off, but when I finally became a doula, it felt like I had found my calling. This isn’t just a job for me—it’s my heart project. I don’t do this work because I have to; I do it because I genuinely love it.

Over time, I expanded my services to include birth photography, blending my passions for storytelling and support. I’ve trained as a birth doula, bereavement doula, postpartum doula, prenatal nutrition educator, and advocate for birth rights. Most recently, I completed training with Birth Becomes You as a Certified Birth Photographer to further hone my skills. I believe quality birth photography should be accessible for all families who want it.

Clients often tell me how much they value the support I bring to both parents in the birth space. By educating, encouraging, and guiding them, I help birth partners show up in the most meaningful ways. Whether I’m there as a doula, a photographer, or both, my role adapts to your unique needs. Families with an additional support team may receive more photos, while those relying solely on me for labor support get the dedicated care they deserve.

I’m based in the West Valley of Phoenix, Arizona, but I’m happy to travel wherever needed.

When I’m not supporting families, you can find me on our ranch with my two kids, my wonderful husband, our two cows, and four dogs. A fun fact? I’ve had the honor of being the doula for my two childhood best friends—it’s been an incredible full-circle experience!

Let’s connect and create a beautiful, empowering birth experience together.
